Guidelines for improving relations between professionals during telework

We are currently experiencing a totally new situation. Although several months have passed, we are still trying to adapt to this new teleworking lifestyle.

Routines have changed, processes are slower and communication is less fluid. There is no doubt that a series of guidelines are necessary to improve our work performance from home.

teleworking

It goes without saying that the basis of every relationship is communication and much more so in labour relations. According to several studies a large part of the success of any project lies in the correct understanding between the members of a team. Therefore, we can say that for projects to develop in a favorable way we must have a continuous and fluid communication with our teammates. A communication that perhaps in these months we have been losing.

New forms of communication in telework

To do this, it is important to use the tools provided by companies to be able to communicate in telework, whether it is an internal chat to deal with immediate issues or an email for communications that incorporate data or documents of a more formal nature. On the other hand, in order to have a more complete experience, it is interesting to use video calls.

In a recent study on remote work, the internal relationship was identified as the worker's second biggest concern, surpassing communication with the client among others.

Teleworking Challenges

We must encourage the participation of teleworkers either in group chats, comments in some kind of blog or in team activities to promote ideas. The aim is for a teleworker not to feel alone. To this end, each colleague should be praised and their achievements or good work communicated. All this will serve to motivate us and make us feel part of a whole.

Conclusion

It is important that the links that were created in the face to face work are not lost with the remote work. But this does not mean that we must continually interrupt our colleagues. Say hello, ask how the day is going or if you can contribute something to the tasks being carried out.

The only way for us to feel part of a team is through agile internal communication and we must all do our part.
